Thank you for visiting the web site of the National Postal Mail Handlers Union, Local 308, a Division of the Laborers’ International Union of North America, AFL-CIO. The NPMHU is a national organization of employees dedicated to advancing the interests of its members and their families. The primary purpose of the Union is to negotiate and enforce a National Agreement with the United States Postal Service, a contract that establishes wages including cost of living adjustments as well as other increases in wages and benefits within its jurisdiction. The Union also protects workers’ rights by representing them in day-to-day problems on the job, including adverse actions that reduce compensation and benefits, violations of seniority rights, discrimination, or other management initiated abuses, and addresses such workplace concerns as safety and health and the impact of technological change. Members of the National Postal Mail Handlers Union belong to a local union, with jurisdiction in their city, town, or area. Local Unions elect their own officers and conduct their day-to-day business in accordance with the National and Uniform Local Union Constitutions as well as a locally developed set of By-Laws. Local 308 represents more than 2,800 regular members across Southern New Jersey, Delaware and Eastern & Central Pennsylvania
